TexMed Home Health is seeking a Full-Time Occupational Therapist to add to our in-house therapy team. Service areas include Killeen, Temple and Lampasas.

The Occupational Therapist evaluates and assesses the patient’s current functional level which has been impaired by illness or injury and implements a treatment program. The primary job of the OT is to improve and restore function and independence in ADL’s. From the evaluation, a specific program is designed and implemented to assist the patient in achieving the highest functional level possible. This is completed within the guidelines of the referring physician.
Requirements:
Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of practice
Possess knowledge of Medicare guidelines essential to Home Health Coverage
Demonstrate the ability to assess the interpretation and formulation of patient care plans to meet the needs appropriate to the age of the patients serviced by the agency.
Ability to perform good dexterity for patient training (sewing, peg tests, woodwork)
Good organizational and time management skills
Good verbal and written skills
Demonstrate proficiency in clinical documentation
Valid drivers license, and reliable transportation
Computer, internet access and email capabilities from home or other off-site location
